The latest food recall is a favorite afternoon treat, Delizza’s Belgian Mini Cream Puffs. The refrigerated easy pop-in snack might have metal inside it. Stores like Costco and Safeway are pulling the plug on the tasty delicacy.
The North Carolina company placed a recall since the problem was found during production Dec. 7-10. The FDA posted an official recall alert on the following desserts:
- Lot Nos. L1J5021 and L1K5021 of Chocolate Enrobed Cream Puffs in containers of 30 were distributed to ShopRite and PriceRite stores in New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. The best sell date is 06/09/2023.
- Lot Nos. L2N5021 and L2O5021 of Cream Puffs in containers of 20 were distributed to Safeway stores in Northern California. The best sell date is 06/10/2023.
- Lot Nos. L32E5021 and L32F5021 of Cream Puffs in containers of 120 were distributed to Costco in Northern California; Sparks, Nevada and Carson City, Nevada. The best sell date is 06/07/2023.
If customers have the boxes, they are encouraged to throw out the mini cream puffs or return at the selected stores for full refund amount.
