A shooting at a South Carolina strip club has led to an attempted murder charge for the father of Houston Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney.
According to Rock Hill police, David, Clowney’s father, was removed from the Crazy Horse strip club in Rock Hill on Tuesday morning for sitting on the stage. Police say he later went to the back of the property and fired several rounds at a man named Braxton, who fired back and hit David in the shoulder.
David was treated at Piedmont Medical Center, where police took him into custody. He is charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and some reports also list aggravated assault. He was awaiting a bond hearing at last report. These are allegations, and he has not been convicted of anything.
The Rock Hill Herald reported that Clowney, who is on the Texans’ physically unable to perform list, was highly upset after relatives told him about the arrest. Neither Clowney nor the Texans had issued a public statement at the time of this report.
