New York State Considers CEO Threats Hotline After the Slaying of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson

The FBI has increased the reward money for anyone that can lead them to the UnitedHealthcare CEO murderer.

The agency announced Friday evening that they are now offering a $50,000 reward for “information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible” in the brazen killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. This is a significant increase from the $10,000 reward previously offered by New York City Crime Stoppers immediately following the shooting on Wednesday morning outside the New York Hilton Hotel.

“We are seeking the public’s help in identifying the unknown suspect responsible for the homicide,” the FBI stated in a news release.

As the investigation unfolds, a new lead has emerged, with authorities reportedly zeroing in on a key suspect who was seen traveling from Atlanta to New York City last month under a fake ID. Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny revealed that surveillance footage shows the suspect riding a bicycle to Central Park, where he later ditched the bike and took a taxi to the George Washington Bridge bus station, believed to be his escape route.

On Friday, NYPD officials shared that they had found a backpack in Central Park, which may belong to the shooter. It contains items that could be critical to the investigation, such as clothing possibly discarded by the suspect. Despite the efforts of police to track him, the suspect remains unidentified and at large, with motives for the murder still unclear.
