On Tuesday, Jan. 25, a female suspect was accused of stealing money from a Buford bank’s cash box after leaping over the counter.
The robbery took place at the Chase bank at 3789 Buford Drive, where a woman identified as 32-year-old Long Beach resident Sarahdia Camell approached a teller and requested a withdrawal of $13,564 from her account.
According to Gwinnett County Police Department, the teller requested to see the woman’s driver’s license, debit card, and phone number. The woman refused and grabbed a glass divider, and jumped over the counter.
Camell then took keys and scissors from behind the counter, opened a cash box, and stole $750 before leaving the bank through a side exit frequently used by bank employees.
The Gwinnett Police Department is currently still investigating the incident.
