Boxer Adrien Broner is facing a new accusation out of Las Vegas. According to TMZ, police were called to Drai’s nightclub around 3:30 AM on Sunday after a female server said Broner put his hands around her neck and threatened her.
TMZ reports that officers spoke with the server, a witness who backed up her account, and Broner. The incident was also reportedly captured on video. The server did not need medical attention, according to TMZ.
Police reportedly decided there was enough evidence to cite Broner for misdemeanor battery. He was not arrested. He received a citation with a notice to appear in court at a later date.
Broner firmly denied wrongdoing to police and maintains he is innocent. A citation is not a finding of guilt, and the matter will play out in court. We will keep you posted as we learn more.
