Fergie and Josh Duhamel have announced their separation after 8 years of marriage.⠀⠀⠀⠀
“With absolute love and respect, we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year,” the couple told #People in a joint statement. “To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Fergie, 42, and Duhamel, 44, married in 2009 after five years of dating and welcomed a son, Axl, in 2013.
The two haven’t been photographed together since June, but celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary earlier this year with Duhamel captioning the photo, “8 years!! Love you babe.”
For now, Fergie is gearing up to release her second album, Double Dutchess, on Sept. 22.
