Film and television studio MRC has pulled the plug on a completed Kanye West documentary following Ye’s recent antisemitic rants.

The $2 million doc, titled “The Myth of Ye,” was financed and produced by MRC. It stood to make up to $10 million in distribution revenue. Directed by Zach Heinzerling, the film explored Ye’s complex relationship with the media and his many infamous moments. However, on Monday, MRC execs made the “business and moral decision” to cut ties with Ye. CEOs Modi Wiczyk, Asif Satchu, and COO Scott Tenley even called out others who remain silent about West’s harmful rhetoric.

“The silence from leaders and corporations when it comes to Kanye or antisemitism, in general, is dismaying but not surprising,” their statement read.

An MRC representative also confirmed “all activities are being pulled” when asked whether or not “The Myth of Ye” was sent to film festivals.

It has already been a rough week for Ye, who has been dropped from a number of business dealings. His attorney, Camille Vasquez, has dropped him as a client, while his talent agency, CAA, has also parted ways. Probably the most shocking partnership that ended was that of him and Adidas, which has been the home of the highly sought-after Yeezy brand.

Kanye West has not responded to MRC doing away with his doc.
