The hip-hop world is in total shock after Gucci Mane dropped his explosive track “Crash Dummy,” where he detailed an alleged armed takeover involving his own signee, Pooh Shiesty.
While the lyrics paint a picture of betrayal and a “business meeting” gone wrong in Dallas, Memphis rapper Finesse2tymes isn’t buying the victim narrative. In a raw social media response, Finesse went off on the 1017 CEO, claiming that Gucci’s decision to involve the law has “hurt his feelings” and violated the fundamental rules of the street.
“Anyway, what’s up with Gucci Mane?” Finesse started, not hiding his emotional reaction to the federal case. “I ain’t gonna lie, bro. I’m hurt by this. I’m fucked up about this. You really hurt my feelings, bro.” For Finesse, the issue isn’t whether the robbery happened; it’s how a “grown-ass man” with millions in the bank handled it. He questioned why a legend like Gucci would be worried about “a chain and a ring” when dealing with a 25-year-old artist who only knows the street life.
Finesse2tymes argued that if Shiesty did rob Gucci, it was because the younger rapper assumed Gucci was “street” like him and wouldn’t involve the authorities.
At 34, Finesse says he has more patience for the younger generation’s mistakes than the 40-year-old Gucci Mane. “You don’t put the police on your ass,” Finesse emphasized, labeling the move as “soft.” He believes that as a pioneer, Gucci should have held his composure and handled the dispute internally rather than letting federal prosecutors build a case that could see Shiesty facing life in prison.
As the legal battle continues with Shiesty being denied bond and Gucci Mane doubling down on his “Crash Dummy” claims, the rift in the industry is deepening. Finesse2tymes made it clear that his perspective on the Atlanta legend has shifted entirely, ending his rant by suggesting that these “street politics” have officially entered a “whole different ball game.”
