The Harris family legacy is expanding as Deyjah Harris officially joined the Sigma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. at Clark Atlanta University. During the probate performance, the 24-year-old stepped to the front to introduce herself to the crowd, making it clear that she is carving out her own identity while still showing love to her roots.
Deyjah shared a special moment with the audience during her introduction. She said, “I’m a communications major from the hot land of Georgia. Now some of y’all may know me as Princess of the South but in Delta Land I will forever be known as Precious Heir.”
The choice of her line name, Precious Heir, serves as a beautiful nod to her late aunt, Precious Harris. It was a subtle but powerful way to keep her aunt’s memory alive as she reached this major milestone in her college career.
