Businesses have had to get creative with social distancing during the pandemic, and movie theaters are no different. You’ve heard of drive-in theaters, now get ready for Floating Cinema.

An Australian entertainment and event company, Beyond Cinema, announced that their Floating Cinema will hit select U.S. cities this fall, complete with mini boats.

The company announced that screenings will happen throughout September and October, and so far, 16 cities have been listed, including New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Denver, San Diego, San Francisco, St. Louis, Houston, Chicago, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Austin, Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati.

Screening capacity will be capped at 12 to 14 boats to allow for social distancing, and guests will be required to purchase an entire boat to ensure they will be made up of only family and friends. Each boat holds up to eight people.

The movies Beyond Cinema will be showing have not been revealed, but “movies are set to be a mix of golden oldies and new releases but will be announced when tickets go on sale,” according to the pre-registration page, Fox Business reports.

Popcorn is free for everyone that attends, and other snacks and drinks will be available for purchase before setting sail on your mini boat.
