Florida’s Attorney General Does Not Want O.J. Simpson In FL, Cites Arrest for Boating In Manatee Zone

It looks like O.J. Simpson doesn’t have enough juice for him to return to Florida.

Florida’s attorney general wants to make sure Simpson doesn’t relocate to the state.

Attorney Pam Bondi sent a letter on Friday (Sept. 29), encouraging the Florida Department of Corrections to block Simpson’s request to return to the Sunshine State after he’s freed on parole, according to the Associated Press. His release may be as early as next week.

In Bondi’s letter, she reportedly mentioned Simpson’s infamous murder trial for the death of his late ex-wife #NicoleBrownSimpson, and her friend, #RonaldGoldman in which Simpson was acquitted.

The letter continued to highlight the history of Simpson’s violent and destructive behavior citing his 2008 robbery and kidnapping conviction and an arrest for speeding in a powerboat in a manatee zone. She also added that he’d be a financial burden for Florida police because of his notoriety.

Regardless of Bondi’s reservations, Simpson’s lawyer says he’ll definitely be in Florida after serving his time at Nevada’s Lovelock Correctional Center. His lawyer told AP there’s “no doubt” that’s where he’s headed once he’s released.
