Floyd Mayweather is back in a police report, this time after an argument with Melissa Brim, the mother of his daughter, just weeks after he got out of jail.
According to Las Vegas police, Brim called 911 on September 9 to report that she was in a verbal altercation with the boxer at her home. Mayweather had left by the time officers arrived. Police found no evidence of a physical fight, and Brim declined to file a report or press charges.
The Las Vegas Review Journal reports that Mayweather left with some of Brim’s personal belongings, and that someone close to him returned them later.
The timing is not good for Money. Mayweather was released from the Clark County jail on August 3 after serving about two months of a 90 day sentence for attacking his ex girlfriend Josie Harris, the mother of three of his children, in 2010.
He has history with Brim too. In 2002, Mayweather pleaded guilty to domestic battery charges tied to two incidents with her the year before.
No charges came out of this latest call, but Floyd needs to leave this situation alone. A month out of jail is not the time to be showing up anywhere that ends with police at the door. Whatever he and Brim need to work out belongs in court.
