Folding chairs sold at Dollar General have been recalled over amputation and laceration concerns.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), more than 150,000 folding chairs have been recalled after people reported that they’d had their fingers lacerated or completely amputated by the chairs.

The agency’s recall statement said that The True Living Sling Loungers” can collapse unexpectedly, posing an amputation, laceration and pinching hazard if [a] finger gets caught in the metal folding joints.”

According to Fox Business, the chairs were sold at Dollar General stores from January 2019 to September 2019. The recall came after three people reported the chairs’ metal folding joints caused “amputations or lacerations to fingers,” reports the news outlet.

Those who purchased the folding chairs should “immediately” stop using them, the CSPC stated. It also instructed consumers to cut the fabric on the chairs so they can’t be used.
