Foogiano just dropped his hardest Gucci Mane diss yet. The new track is called “The Misunderstood Truth,” and it is the third song he has aimed at his former label boss in about a week. In the last two verses, he accuses Gucci of snitching, a claim that Gucci and the people closest to him have denied.
The video makes his message clear. Foogiano dances on top of the 1017 logo, buries a chain from the label in the dirt, and smashes an ice sculpture of the logo. He did not just leave the label. He held a funeral for it.
The song also goes after how Gucci handled Pooh Shiesty and the other artists on 1017, with lines about a lack of financial backing and legal support when they needed it.
This Gucci Mane diss comes after two warmup records. On October 20, Foogiano previewed “Halfway Out,” where he rapped, “I talked to Wop, told him I ain’t like what he did.” That track and “Halfway In” had only a few light jabs. “The Misunderstood Truth” makes the beef impossible to ignore.
The relationship between the two has changed a lot. Foogiano signed with Gucci’s 1017 Records and was building momentum when he was arrested in Memphis in 2021 and charged as a felon in possession of a firearm. He was released on bond, then reportedly cut off his ankle monitor, and he ended up with a five year sentence. In November 2024, while Foogiano was still locked up, Gucci dropped every artist on 1017 except two: Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano.
Things fell apart when Pooh Shiesty was arrested and accused of robbing and kidnapping Gucci. Gucci then released “Crash Dummy,” a song many listeners took as a shot at Pooh, and the snitching talk took off from there. Uncle Murda went on his podcast and said Gucci was trying to sound like a civilian after spending more than 20 years presenting himself as a gangster.
Foogiano was released to a halfway house in April after five years in prison, and he quickly made it clear which side he was on. He said his time with 1017 was over, showed public support for Pooh Shiesty, and shared an anti snitching post soon after.

Pooh Shiesty, Big30 and seven other codefendants have all pleaded not guilty in the kidnapping and robbery case. Their trial is scheduled to begin February 22, 2027.
Gucci has not responded directly to any of Foogiano’s tracks. His most recent move was releasing his album Against All Odds, a project built around his wealth, his influence and the legacy he has built in Atlanta rap.
