Video obtained by TMZ Tuesday shows the aftermath of Diddy’s Los Angeles home after a Homeland Security raid.
Footage shows much chaos, including drawers yanked open, personal belongings and documents scattered everywhere, and safes forcefully accessed. The raid, which unfolded at Diddy’s Holmby Hills residence this Monday, also saw agents dismantling electronic gadgets, focusing on hard drives confiscated during the operation. The music mogul’s Miami Beach residence was also raided simultaneously Monday.
Diddy, speaking through his representatives, has voiced his outrage over the dual raids, framing them as unjust persecution by authorities.
“Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences. There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated,” Aaron Dyer, Diddy’s attorney, expressed to TMZ.
He continued, “Mr. Combs was never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities. Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way.”
“This unprecedented ambush — paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence — leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits.”
The raids, which also targeted Diddy’s Star Island home in Miami, saw Homeland Security agents in a full-force operation that briefly detained his sons, Christian and Justin. These events are part of a broader federal investigation that has yet to charge Diddy with any crime.
