Former ‘Basketball Wives’ star Royce Reed has responded after it was reported she was arrested on a child negligence charge.
Royce cleared the air sharing that she turned herself in. Friday, Royce took to Instagram to set the record straight in an IG post revealing, “I did not get arrested. I turned myself in because I had to.”
According to court documents, Royce turned herself in because her 14-year-old son Braylon, whom she shares with Dwight Howard, violated court orders.
Apparently, there were past issues with Braylon and allegations that he molested another kid. He was ordered by a judge to follow a set of rules, which he obviously did not do. One rule in specific banned Braylon from hanging out with children two years younger than him unsupervised.
However, Braylon did not follow the order and Royce is suffering the consequences. The former basketball wife has been cooperating with investigators and was ultimately charged with child neglect, which is a third-degree felony. Details surrounding the case are still developing.
