Former Detroit Lions defensive back Tony Beckham is at the center of a confrontation in Wellington, Florida, after a man was reportedly found outside his daughter’s bedroom window.
According to WPLG Local 10, Beckham told authorities he found a man named Geoffrey crouched in the bushes outside the window, allegedly exposing himself. When Beckham yelled, the man reportedly ran off, and Beckham chased him down and a fight followed. Beckham’s wife called 911 after hearing the commotion outside.
When deputies arrived, the two men were still fighting. Geoffrey reportedly tried to run again, stumbled and was taken into custody.
Geoffrey denied looking in the window. He told deputies his car had broken down and he was waiting in the neighborhood for it to cool off, according to the report.
He was arrested on a charge of lewd and lascivious exhibition, which is an allegation, and was taken to Wellington Regional Medical Center for treatment of facial injuries that reportedly included fractures.
