Fred Taylor, who played 13 seasons in the NFL, primarily with the Jaguars, is accusing NFL doctors of withholding major injuries from him during his career.

According to Taylor, who retired in 2010, he recently had 11 MRIs and 12 X-rays performed and found out that he’s managed to play his entire career with a fractured clavicle and 2 partially torn labrum (one in the shoulder).

“I’m Appalled! I was never told this as a player,” Taylor tweeted. “Oversight? Or BS!”

Taylor says that he’s always felt the pain in his body, but was never told how serious things were.

“I’ve always gotten a sensation n my shoulders but I though it was fatigue. All these years have passed and now I discover my shoulders jacked,” he tweeted.

What makes matters worse, Taylor is claiming that the NFL is refusing to provide him with medical benefits.

“Even through all the injuries and the lingering injuries, somehow The league still manage to deny my “Line of Duty” benefit 3 times. Seems the “neutral doctors” we are referred to by the league overlooked the injuries and issues I currently deal with. Nice job guys.”

He continued, “They gave me this stupid nickname “fragile Freddy” after I had TORN my groin off the bone. Somehow it 2 was diagnosed as a minor strain”

Fred Taylor says that for his shoulder injuries, he saw the in-house doctors that came as a recommendation by the NFL due to benefit referral reasons.
