Former President Bill Clinton, 78, has been admitted to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington for observation and testing after developing a fever, a top aide confirmed Monday.

Angel Ureña, Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, released a statement assuring the public that the former president is in “good spirits” and grateful for the care he is receiving.

A source close to Clinton emphasized that the situation is not urgent, saying, “The former president will be fine. He developed a fever and wanted to be checked out. He is awake and alert.”

Since leaving the White House in 2001, Clinton has faced several health challenges. Notably, he underwent quadruple bypass surgery in 2004 and later had two stents placed in his coronary artery in 2010. Despite these past issues, Clinton has remained active in public life, including attending high-profile events and supporting his foundation’s global initiatives.
