Former Trump Aide Says Donald Trump Is Obsessed With Destroying Barack Obama’s Legacy: “This is personal for Trump”

Since the 2016 presidential election, everyone has seen the ongoing tension between Donald Trump and Barack Obama. Trump has always been very vocal about his disapproval of the forever President and his policies.

However, some believe that Trump’s proposals to remove Obama’s policies are not politically driven. In fact, according to Omarosa Manigault, former White House staffer, Trump has always had it out for his predecessor.

“This is personal for Trump; it is all about President Obama and destroying his legacy,” Manigault Newman told The New York Times, adding that Trump is obsessed with Obama.

Throughout Obama’s presidency, Trump consistently utilized social media to voice his opinions of the 43rd commander in chief. In 2012, Trump tweeted, “Why is Barack Obama spending millions to try and hide his records? He is the least transparent President ever, and he ran on transparency.”

Months later, Trump tweeted about Obama again, insinuating that the President’s birth certificate was fake.

In 2014 Trump tweeted, “Can you believe that, with all of the problems and difficulties facing the U.S., President Obama spent the day playing golf. Worse than Carter.”

Now, Years later, Trump remains adamant about his view of the former President. According to PEOPLE, Trump most recently tweeted, “The Obama/Biden Administration is the most CORRUPT in HISTORY!”

While Trump has fired multiple shots at Obama, criticizing his work and questioning his citizenship, Obama ignored Trump’s remarks.

Although Obama chose to take the high road, he did address Trump’s obsession shortly after Trump’s election. According to the New York Times, Obama reportedly said, “I’m clearly renting space inside the guy’s head,” according to the New York Times.
