Four students were arrested after a 19 year old Texas A&M student was found unresponsive at the Sigma Nu fraternity house in College Station on Saturday, August 20.
According to local reports, police believe the student died of an overdose, but they are waiting on autopsy results before announcing an official cause of death. The student has not been publicly named by authorities.
The four students arrested are Michael, 20, Ty, 21, Samuel, 21, and Christian, 18. Reports say they were arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and another controlled substance. They have not been convicted of anything, and charges are only allegations at this stage.
Police had also visited the house the night before. A College Station police sergeant said an officer responded around 8:45 p.m. Friday to a party with an estimated 50 to 60 people and issued a warning.
Sigma Nu said it was keeping the student and his family in its thoughts and prayers and was helping police with the investigation. Chapter members have declined to comment.
