Right after Diddy’s trial ended, Hot 97 DJ Funk Flex took to Instagram on Wednesday to call out Cassie, accusing her of playing the victim for a payout.
“YOU PLAN THIS ‘LICK’ PLEASE DONT BE MAD AT ME BUT I DONT SEE U AS A ‘VICTIM,’” Flex wrote. “YOU WAS YOUNG, DIDDY MADE BAD CHOICES AND YOU MADE BAD CHOICES! WHEN DO U PLAN TO TEACH GIRLS NOT TO MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES YOU MADE?”
Though he called Cassie a “nice person” who “always gave off good energy,” Flex didn’t hold back. He questioned her 2023 abuse and sex trafficking lawsuit, which was filed and then quickly settled within 24 hours. Diddy paid her a reported $20 million.
“YOU THREATENED TO DROP A BOOK THEN GOT PAID OUT TO NOT DROP THE BOOK! (IF YOU CARED SO MUCH TO GET YOUR MESSAGE OUT YOU WOULD OF DROPPED THE BOOK),” he added.
Flex also claimed she received $10 million in a separate settlement tied to the InterContinental Hotel incident, where security footage from 2016 showed Diddy assaulting her in a hallway.
“THE ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS IS A DANGEROUS ENVIRONMENT THAT EVERYONE IS NOT BUILT FOR!” he warned.
All of this comes after Cassie’s testimony in Diddy’s sex trafficking trial. As the first witness to take the stand, she painted a disturbing picture of her relationship with the Bad Boy mogul, whom she dated from 2007 to 2018.
She testified about being coerced into what she called “freak-offs” or “Wild King Nights.” The mother of two also claimed Diddy forced her to perform during UTIs and mouth ulcers, and at one point asked that male escorts urinate in her mouth.
Although Diddy was hit with several charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking, he was only found guilty of transportation with intent to engage in prostitution.
Now that Diddy’s verdict is in and he’s been denied bail, attention has turned to Cassie, and Funk Flex is making it clear that her actions deserve just as much scrutiny.
