Atlanta superstar Future is facing a new legal filing after a woman identified as Layla Sanad accused him of fathering her 9-year-old son and is now asking the court to formally establish paternity and enforce child support. The paternity claim centers on a child born in 2017, bringing renewed attention to the artist’s ongoing legal history surrounding family matters.
According to court documents, Sanad alleges she and Future were previously involved in a romantic relationship that resulted in the birth of her son, identified by the initials K.W. She claims that the rapper acknowledged to her privately that he is the child’s father. Despite that alleged acknowledgment, she is now seeking to have paternity legally confirmed through the court system.
In addition to establishing paternity, Sanad is requesting financial support, including retroactive payments covering the past two years. The filing aims to formalize both parental responsibility and Future’s financial obligations moving forward.
Future has not publicly addressed the latest filing. However, records indicate he has previously acknowledged paternity of a child named Kash Wilburn in a separate legal matter and stated he had been making voluntary monthly payments of $3,500 in support.
The case adds another layer to Future’s well-documented family history. The rapper is believed to have multiple children with several women, including a son with singer Ciara. Over time, some of these co-parenting relationships have resulted in legal disputes over custody and financial support, keeping his personal life in the public eye.
With this latest filing, the court will now determine whether paternity will be formally established and what level of financial support, if any, will be required going forward.
