50 Cent Brings Back G-Unit Reeboks in White and Green After the First Pair Sold Out in Under Two Hours

G-Unit Reeboks white and green G6 retro with 50 Cent

50 Cent and the Reebok G-Unit G6 in white and green

50 Cent is dropping more G-Unit Reeboks, and this time the classic G6 is coming back in white and green. Fif shared a first look at the retro on Instagram, telling fans that G-Unit is back on the map and the shoes hit stores on 12/14.

The new pair brings back a colorway from the shoe’s original run in the 2000s. The G6 keeps its clean white leather upper with perforations across the toe and side panels, framed by a cream suede toe cap. Green and white stripes sit along the forefoot, the script “G-Unit” logo is stitched in green on the heel, and green carries through the lining, the outsole and the G6 lace tag. It is the same low top silhouette that took over the streets in 2003, just dressed in green this time.

The White/Green G6 will retail for $130 in unisex sizing through Reebok and select retailers, both online and in stores. Sneaker outlets have confirmed a December release, while 50 himself put the date at December 14.

If the last drop is any indication, fans will need to move fast. Reebok brought the G6 back on August 20 as a faithful retro of the original white, red and blue pair, and it sold out on Reebok.com in under two hours. Inventory at Reebok, JD Sports and Finish Line could not keep up, and the shoes went straight to the resale market.

The sellout gave 50 the perfect opportunity to do what he does best. Rick Ross had predicted nobody would buy the shoes, so once they were gone, 50 hit him with a simple message: “Sold out, fat boy.”

The G-Unit Reeboks have always carried weight beyond sneakers. The G6 first dropped in 2003, the same year 50 released Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and G-Unit put out Beg for Mercy. The shoe went head to head with Jay-Z’s S. Carter line at Reebok, and 50 has long claimed his pair outsold it. He has also said the G-Unit deal with Reebok generated roughly $80 million for him at its peak, proving a rapper could move product like the biggest athletic brands.

Fans who missed the August drop may get a second chance before the green pair arrives, with the original white, red and blue colorway reportedly set to restock in November. Between the restock and a new colorway landing right before the holidays, the G-Unit Reeboks are shaping up to be one of the hottest gifts of the season.
