Gender reveals are starting to become more known as tragedies instead of celebrations.
In Cancun, Mexico, a plane streaming a sign about a baby girl crashed into the water, killing two people while the parents-to-be watched in horror.
At the resort around 3:30 pm that Tuesday, the expecting couple and their family and friends watched the plane flyover the Nichupte Lagoon.
According to reports, the guests were heard shouting, “It’s a girl!” as the single-engine Cessna 206, leased from Xomex, flew overhead performing a series of stunts.
“It’s all good as long as it doesn’t end up crashing into us,” one person on the boat said.
Shortly after, the plane nosedived into the lagoon, turning what had been a joyous occasion into a nightmare.
“Surely this can’t be happening!” exclaimed one stunned audience member.
It was unclear if the pilots were among the casualties.
