O’Reilly Auto Parts

A customer at a Georgia O’Reilly Auto Parts store was shot multiple times by an employee at the store on Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened at the store located in Clayton County, the victim’s mother confirmed. 25-year-old Willie Heath III was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Health’s mother, Angelic Heath, said her son went to the store to purchase coolant for his car but never made it home.

“My child’s last words to me, he told me, ‘God got me,’” Angelic Heath said.

Heath said that she talked to people at the store and said that an employee from another location came to the store to bring some batteries.

“He bumped my child and never said, ‘Excuse me,’” Heath added.

Her son and the employee started to argue, and that’s when the employee pulled out a gun,  WSBTV News reported.

She said her son ran outside, and the employee shot through the store’s window.

Heath’s father, Willie Heath Jr., also said that the employee went outside and shot his son several more times.

“We need them to be held accountable for their employees, who took my son’s life,” Willie Heath Jr. said.

Rahem Titre, 26, was arrested and was initially charged with aggravated assault.

Heath’s mother wants to know why Titre was carrying a gun while on the job in the first place.

“The security officer told me, ‘That’s why they hired me. I’m here with a gun. No employee should have a gun,’” she said.
