A substitute teacher in Carroll County, Georgia, was arrested on Friday and charged with 19 counts of child molestation.
According to Carroll County police, Amelia Ressler, 30, was brought in after staff at Mt. Zion Elementary School in Carrollton reported alleged misconduct.
Investigators’ reports show the misconduct being described as “indecent and immoral acts while in the presence of school-aged children.”
When speaking to Fox 5, Caroll County spokeswoman Ashly Hulsey went into more detail regarding what went on.
According to Hulsey, in obtained video evidence — Ressler recorded herself –, “it appeared [Ressler] was masturbating while the classroom was full of kids.”
She is currently booked at Carroll County Jail and is being held without bail.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office applauded Carroll County Schools for their swift action in reporting Ressler’s wrongdoings.
“We appreciate the dedication Carroll County Schools has for the safety of their students as we were contacted immediately following the allegations, and we will continue to work closely with them during the remainder of the investigation.”
