LiveNation

As of October, anyone thinking of attending a Live Nation event will need to prove that they are fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

This new set of rules will go into effect on October 4th and applies to all concerts, festivals, and any other functions hosted by the entertainment giant. In addition, all artists, staff members, and anyone visiting the Live Nation offices will need to show proof of their vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test.

The announcement comes after fellow concert promoter AEG declared a similar mandate for their event attendees and venue employees, which will be effective October 1st. The re-emergence of concerts and festivals has been linked to several superspreader events in the United States.

“Vaccines are going to be your ticket back to shows,” Live Nation president and CEO Michael Rapino stated.

In recent weeks major tourist cities such as New Orleans and Los Angeles have introduced policies that require all patrons of restaurants, bars, and other venues to show proof of their vaccination status or a negative test.
