Nearly three months after the untimely death of the late, great Nipsey Hussle, new details surrounding his death have been revealed. In grand jury documents obtained by the LA Times, the woman behind the wheel of the getaway car said the fatal incident erupted over snitching.
Identified only as Witness 1, the woman said she and Eric Holder traveled to the strip mall on Crenshaw and Slauson to get food. Upon arrival, the woman said they noticed Nipsey outside of his Marathon Clothing store, and proceeded to a burger joint to get food.
According to the docs, the woman said Holder then approached Nipsey, and as they spoke for several minutes, she waited nearby for a selfie. Sometime during the conversation, the witness said she overheard Holder ask Nipsey if he ever snitched. However, in response, the woman said Nipsey waived him off and accused Holder of being a snitch, himself.
As the conversation ended, Holder returned to the burger spot, picked up his food, and left with the woman in the car. The woman said Holder then told her to drive around the corner, and that’s when he pulled out a black, semi-automatic handgun.
In the docs, the woman explained that Holder then asked her to go around the block so he could do a drive-by, but she refused. Instead, she said he got out of the car, put on a red shirt, and told her not to move. He then fired several shots, killing the rapper and injuring two others, before he ran back to the car to escape.
The woman was not charged in the incident.
