Back in June, Gilbert Arenas was hit with a temporary restraining order after a woman identified in court filings as Janelle said he had threatened to send explicit videos to her son.
The order reportedly barred Arenas from communicating with the woman’s son in person, by phone or by text, and from sending him any photographs or videos. About a month later, the order was reportedly dropped after neither side showed up for the hearing.
Now Arenas is firing back. According to TMZ, he has filed a lawsuit against Janelle, accusing her of fabricating the entire situation.
“She created the false impression of supposedly having received threatening messages by making copies of various texts that she created and sent to herself,” the suit reportedly states.
Arenas claims the accusations and the restraining order left him humiliated and cost him his job at Yahoo Sports, among other problems. He is seeking $10 million in damages. These are claims made in a lawsuit, and nothing in the filing has been proven. TMZ did not include a response from Janelle in its report.
