Giuliana Rancic’s comments about Zendaya Coleman’s faux locs have caused her a lot of grief over the last few days. Most recently, co-host Kelly Osbourne threatened to leave the show if Giuliana did not issue an apology, citing that she did not stand behind the racist remarks. Later that day, Giuliana did apologize to Zendaya on-air, but according to a few sources there has been some drama brewing behind the scenes.
According to Hollywood Life
“Giuliana is still devastated over this, she feels like her whole team turned their backs on her. Kelly was the worst but it wasn’t just her, she feels like her bosses weren’t there for her either.”
“And she thought about quitting the show, but that’s not going to happen, she’s way too ambitious to quit. She wants to see Kelly leave though, she’s going to play nice with her for the cameras but you better believe she’ll be doing anything she can to get her off the show. This means war.”
But according to Us Weekly, Kelly warned Giuliana not to make any comments about Zendaya’s locs in the first place but she didn’t listen.
“They did the Zendaya segment three times. Three different takes. On the first two takes, Kelly said ‘Guys, we can’t say this. Zendaya is a friend of the show.’
Giuliana said the words ‘patchouli oil’ and ‘weed’ three times.”
I’m interested in seeing what happens. Even Solange Knowles has said that Fashion Police has made ugly remarks about her choice of natural hairstyle. It seems to me everyone wants to be Joan Rivers, forgetting that even Joan caught a lot of slack. She was just unapologetic about it.
