Gloria, the mother of Freddie Gray, was taken to a hospital on Wednesday night, according to CBS Baltimore, which cited sources and described the incident as an apparent attempt to harm herself.
Freddie Gray was the 25 year old Baltimore man who died in April after being injured in police custody. According to the report, a 911 call was placed around 9:35 p.m. and Gloria was taken from her North Baltimore home to a nearby hospital by ambulance. A neighbor told reporters they saw police and an ambulance at the home.
In September, the city of Baltimore agreed to pay the Gray family $6.4 million. Family attorney Billy Murphy said at the time that money would not bring Freddie back. Regarding this latest news, Murphy asked that Gloria be given privacy as she continues to mourn the loss of her son, and he asked people to keep the family in their prayers.
