Our favorite trash-talking chef is developing a single-camera comedy for Fox.

You may have seen him in his various TV shows like “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Kitchen Nightmares,” or “Master Chef.” But now, Gordon Ramsay is transitioning from reality shows to scripted comedy with his new project that centers around a chef, of course.

Variety reports that the show follows the journey of a young chef named Laura, who decides to remove herself from the reign of her hot-headed, Ramsay-like mentor. Laura ends up leaving and opening up her own restaurant. However, somehow the world brings the two back together in the same kitchen once again, but this time, he becomes a part of her personal life, too.

The series was a script order from Fox. It was created by writing executive producers Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley, as well as Gail Berman and Fox Entertainment’s recently launched SideCar Content Accelerator, Variety reports. While fans are anticipating Ramsay to play the spicy mentor, there are currently no plans for Ramsay to appear in the show. For now, he has signed on as a non-writing EP with his Studio Ramsay banner.

Cragg and Bradley are known for bringing back “Uncle Buck,” and the two got their first start as writers for the late-night sketch comedy series “MadTV” and “Saturday Night Live.”
