“Gorilla Glue Girl” is making headlines again, this time for a now-viral song that uses her voice.

Tessica Brown is not amused by the “Bad Idea” song circulating on social media platforms like TikTok and IG Reels and on streaming platforms. Everyone has posted the song, from Aniya Wayans, Damon Wayans Jr.’s daughter, and Kulture, Cardi B’s daughter, to numerous others who have posted videos.

Now Brown is sending cease and desist letters through her attorney, Jeffrey R. Klein, to remove the song.

The “remix,” which has since been taken down, was initially uploaded by someone named Cocoa Brown. The letter sent to Cocoa Brown reads, in part, “To the extent it becomes necessary, Tessica intends to seek the recovery of all penalties, statutory damages, and punitive damages for such knowing infringement as applicable.”
