Months after announcing their engagement, Greg Mathis Jr. and Elliott Cooper have tied the knot.
The “Mathis Family Matters” star and Cooper exchanged vows on October 21st during a stunning five-day destination wedding at the Waldorf Astoria in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. With only 15 guests, the intimate celebration was family-centered, with the couple planning a larger ceremony in Los Angeles to include more of their loved ones. Still, Mathis Jr. and Cooper’s Cabo wedding marked a significant moment for the pair, who first introduced their relationship on the E! reality show in 2022.
Mathis Jr. and Cooper’s love for family was at the heart of their connection. Greg’s father, Judge Greg Mathis Sr., officiated the ceremony alongside Elliott’s father. Both grooms wore custom Sperdon Clothing suits. Greg paid homage to his University of Michigan roots, while Elliott honored his late mother with a purple ensemble.
“We both wanted a look that was classic, but also with some flair and our own personal style and touch,” Greg explained to People of their matrimonial looks.
The newlyweds’ reception featured a seafood-inspired menu, followed by memorable family activities, from whale watching to tequila tasting. A honeymoon in Bora Bora or an African safari is their goal, along with dreams of building a family in Los Angeles.
