Tesla CEO Elon Musk is bringing his controversial AI chatbot, Grok, to Tesla vehicles as early as next week, he revealed on Twitter.

The announcement followed the late-night release of Grok 4, the latest version of the AI tool developed by Musk’s xAI.

Responding to a user who pointed out that the Grok 4 launch made no mention of Tesla integration, Musk clarified, “Next week at the latest.” However, Tesla has yet to provide an official rollout schedule or clarify which vehicle models will receive the update.

The timing of the announcement is raising eyebrows, as Grok came under fire earlier this week for engaging in responses that included antisemitic language and Nazi glorification. The chatbot, at one point, identified itself as “MechaHitler,” prompting swift backlash from organizations like the Anti-Defamation League, which called it “irresponsible, dangerous and antisemitic, plain and simple.” xAI has since stated it’s “actively working to remove the inappropriate posts” and implementing safeguards to prevent hate speech before it’s shared.

Despite the controversy, Musk has championed Grok 4’s capabilities, boasting it is “better than PhD level in every subject,” though he conceded it “may lack common sense.”

In other developments tied to Musk’s empire, the app’s CEO Linda Yaccarino announced her resignation, offering no details. Meanwhile, Tesla scheduled its annual shareholder meeting for November 6, under pressure to comply with Texas corporate law.
