Kenya Moore is threatening to take Atlanta blogger Funky Dineva to court after he posted what he says is proof she rents the Roswell home she shows off on Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Kenya has quickly become the bad girl of RHOA, and that title comes with a lot of attention, some of which she clearly wasn’t ready for.
First came Walter Jackson. The man Kenya keeps pressuring to marry her on the show told Atlanta radio hosts Frank Ski and Wanda Smith that the relationship was an act. He says they dated for about three months years ago, lost touch, and then she reached out after she was cast and asked him to play her boyfriend. Kenya says Walter’s statements are completely false.
Then came the house. Funky Dineva posted a check he says Kenya wrote for “July Rent” on the roughly $4,000 a month Roswell home. He says that proves she’s renting, not buying like viewers were led to believe. The bank details on the check are blocked out.
Kenya did not take it well. In an email to Funky Dineva, whose real name is Quentin Latham, she accused him of posting a stolen check. She said she had filed a police report and planned to speak with the DA about criminal prosecution for invasion of privacy and bank fraud, plus a civil lawsuit. “My life and my personal security is not a joke,” she wrote. She also claimed that her bank accounts had been compromised and hacked as a result.
Funky Dineva isn’t backing down. He says Kenya has no case, because Georgia law generally protects people who publish truthful information from public records.
This is part of the game when reality TV meets the blog world, and most stars learn to live with it. Kenya Moore has decided to take it to the justice system instead. Not surprising, considering Kenya is doing what she does best: the absolute most.
