Hailey Bieber is eagerly anticipating starting a family with her husband, Justin Bieber. However, she has concerns about introducing a child into their public lifestyle.
In a recent interview with Sunday Times, Bieber revealed that she looks forward to having children but is worried about “having to confront people saying things about a child.”
“I literally cry about this all the time!” the 26-year-old model said. “I want kids so bad but I get scared. It’s enough that people say things about my husband or my friends. I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child.”
She continues, “We can only do the best we can to raise them. As long as they feel loved and safe.”
Having been raised in the entertainment world as actor Stephen Baldwin’s daughter, Bieber’s upbringing did not adequately prepare her for the online criticism she would encounter as she grew older. She found herself dealing with relentless attacks on various aspects of her life, including her appearance and her marriage to Justin.
The criticism resurfaced earlier this year when it was revealed that Bieber had received death threats from fans of her husband’s previous girlfriend, Selena Gomez. These attacks stemmed from rumors suggesting that Bieber’s relationship with the pop star overlapped with Gomez’s, despite her previously denying the allegation.
