After it was announced that Mr. Potato Head was Dropping Mr. from his name in support of “gender neutral” identities, the Hasbro toy company spoke out to clear up some things.
In a tweet from the companies Twitter page they wrote: “Hold that Tot – your main spud, MR. POTATO HEAD isn’t going anywhere! While it was announced today that the POTATO HEAD brand name & logo are dropping the ‘MR.’ I yam proud to confirm that MR. & MRS. POTATO HEAD aren’t going anywhere and will remain MR. & MRS. POTATO HEAD.”
Even though there will be options for gender-neutral identities, the company will still continue to carry Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head toys.
