13-year-old Deandre Bloomfield was lured to the house of a supposed friend of his where he was set on fire, suffering 3rd degree burns. Bloomfield’s mother Ursula Allen says that the teen, who Deandre thought was his friend, sprayed cologne at him and then lit matches until he caught on fire. According to Allen, Deandre tried to run, but due to his disability he was unsuccessful. Allen says that the mother and sister of the teen who lived in the home were present at the time, and covered up the incident for 2 hours before calling police.
Allen says that Deandre has been a victim of bullying in the past because of a leg length discrepancy that he suffers from.
