How To Be A Player- Your Starting Five

It’s the summertime! That means we don’t have to settle down until Cuffin’ Season in late October/early November.  Until then, you should keep you a good starting lineup on deck. Here’s a description of each position you need, and why they’re necessary:

Point Guard–  They run the team, they’re the commander.  This is your main. At the end of the day, this might be the one you settle down with when its time.  You have to make sure your point guard is always happy and healthy because they set the tone for the rest of the team. i.e. D. Rose.  You ride for your point guard.

Shooting Guard– They’re in charge of scoring, so your shooting guard is your go-to for sex.  They’re always clutch when it’s time to score, so you have to keep them on the team.

Small Forward & Power Forward– These are the rebounds, essentially, but very necessary for the team.  You keep the small and power forwards around to back up your backup.  You always need your defense, someone thats always going to be there for you, that likes you more than you like them.  They’ll be there if your point and shooting guards quit on you.

Center– This is usually the mother or father of your child, or that one ex that you just can’t let go.  The ultimate rebound but they’re more important in your life than a small or power forward.  They have a great combination of skill, but something just isn’t right about them.  A la Dwight Howard.

You might not need all five, but if you’re going to do something, do it right! Having each person playing their position is the most effective way to be a player.
