Last night was quite embarrassing for Iggy Azalea, who not only walked away from the Grammy’s without a win, but also became the laughing stock of social media due to her hairstyle choice. If that wasn’t enough, all eyes were on her as she went head to head with Pizza chain Papa Johns.
Here’s what happened, a few hours earlier in the day Iggy had a pizza delivered to her home. Shortly after the delivery she began to receive text messages from someone claiming to be a huge fan and also the delivery man’s younger brother. Furious that her phone number was given out Iggy contacts Papa Johns demanding photos of their employees, amongst other things, and when Papa Johns refused to comply she threatened to sue. To make matters even worse, she went back and forth with Papa Johns social media account on Twitter, who was seemingly unbothered.

While what happened to Iggy is frustrating (it’s happened to some people I know before, so I totally get why she’s upset) Iggy’s problem will always be that social media isn’t her friend. As T.I. once advised her, she needs to shut up. More often than not, people are laughing AT Iggy, not with her, and her random rants don’t make it any better. Also, rather than text and tweet Papa Johns, she could have accomplished a lot more actually going down to the restaurant.
