As always, Iggy Azalea reacts. Yesterday T.I. appeared on Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning show where he says that he’s taken a bit of a step back from her after constantly having to take bullets and smooth things over every time someone got into it with her. “I’m loyal partner and If I rock with you I rock with you. Right or wrong. We’ll discuss that later in the car. But right now, I’ma block the bullets, but when I say go…go. Just go. Don’t stand around and talk while I’m blocking bullets. I just feel “they” [Iggy’s team] needed some time to adjust.” He also said that the Q-Tip vs Iggy fiasco kind of broke the camel’s back.
Iggy, who is planning a wedding, seems to have been blindsided by T.I.’s comments. A source close to Iggy tells Global Grind, “She didn’t know there was a problem since T.I. is still collecting publishing checks and acting like everything is normal between them.” Iggy has also tweeted that she thinks his words may have been misinterpreted and used as click-bait for blogs. “Listen, you know i have mad respect for you. but tip is like family end of the day. and its easy to get heated when i feel like somethings being twisted,” she tells Global Grind’s Blogxilla. She then goes back to tweeting Nick Young.
Personally, whether T.I. personally wants to deal with her or not, business is business, so I have no doubt in my mind that he would still collect his publishing checks. He probably decided on his own to step back. He did say they haven’t spoken personally in a while. Maybe Iggy WAS blindsided and thought everything was cool. Some people can not talk to someone for years and think everything is still peachy. T.I. probably should have spoken to her before speaking to the radio.
