Iggy Azalea is hurling serious allegations against Universal Music Group. The rapper took to Twitter on March 15th, claiming the company owes her millions in unpaid royalties from international earnings.

“Crazy how in my entire career I was never paid a single royalty by Universal Music for anything outside of the USA,” she wrote. “They owe me millions of dollars in back pay, that they technically stole from me.”

Azalea, who referred to UMG as “criminals” and “the scummiest company,” alleged that the label attempted to settle the dispute for just $18,000 after two years of legal back-and-forth. “Universal Music, mark my words you ugly b*tch,” she added. “You will pay me what’s owed.”

She further slammed the company, writing, “I think Universal Music are criminals who actively take advantage of ALL of their artists in perpetuity for their own gain.” Azalea accused UMG of systematically exploiting musicians, especially those without the resources to challenge them. “They do this to SO MANY artists who unfortunately can’t afford to fight for what they’re owed,” she stated. “Universal Music really needs to do better.”

Azalea previously sold her masters and publishing to Domain Capital, but her legal team has continued monitoring past earnings. She remains committed to pursuing the matter in court. “Thankfully I’m well off and can and will pursue this issue until they pay me what they owe,” she declared.

Universal Music has not yet responded to Azalea’s accusations.
