NBA veteran Iman Shumpert was arrested over the weekend after marijuana was found in his bag at a Dallas-area airport.
TMZ reports that police arrested Shumpert after TSA screeners found a plastic bag with a “green leafy substance” in his bag, which he admitted was weed.
Police confirmed the substance weighed 6.12 ounces and tested positive for marijuana after conducting a mobile test.
The “Dancing With the Stars” champion was scheduled to board an LA-bound Delta flight prior to the arrest and reportedly expressed concerns about missing his trip to visit his daughter.
He was arrested without incident and then hit with a “state jail felony” charge, which means if convicted, the 32-year-old could face up to two years in prison and get fined $10,000.
Cops say a Glock magazine and 14 9mm rounds were also found in his bag, although no gun was present.
