India Love told a friend on camera that she does not use the bathroom, and that she throws up her food instead because she is a lady.

Most of the internet is treating it as a punchline. It is being clipped, quoted and laughed at, and that reaction is understandable, because the claim is biologically impossible and the delivery is casual.
But read the sentence again with the joke taken out of it. A woman with a large following told an audience that vomiting food is what makes her a lady, and that using the bathroom is what makes someone not one.
We are not diagnosing India Love with anything. Nobody can do that from a clip, and it is entirely possible she was exaggerating or playing for a laugh with a friend who happened to be recording. What she meant is between her and the people who actually know her.
What is not in question is what the words describe. Throwing up food after eating is purging. It is one of the defining behaviors of bulimia, and it does real damage: it strips enamel off teeth, tears the esophagus, throws off the body’s electrolytes, and in serious cases affects the heart. It is also one of the most hidden behaviors there is, because people who do it are usually ashamed and almost never say it out loud.
The reason to slow down here is who is watching. India Love has been famous since she was a teenager, largely for how she looks, and a big share of her audience is young women who grew up watching her. When someone in that position attaches vomiting to the idea of being feminine and desirable, even offhand, some girl watching files it away. That is how this kind of thing spreads, not through instruction but through association.
