A threesome gone wrong resulted in two people losing their lives and a woman facing murder charges.
Heidi Kathleen Carter has been charged with murder and rape after inviting a couple to her Evansville, Indiana home for a threesome Tuesday evening. When the couple arrived, they began doing drugs and drinking with Carter before having sex. Carter’s boyfriend, Carey Hammond, came to the home and discovered all three engaged in the threesome, which infuriated him. Hammond beat the man with a baseball bat before duct-taping him and his girlfriend to chairs, where they were tortured for hours. Hammond eventually strangled the male victim to death with a belt.
A cleaning lady who went to the home heard sounds in one of the bedrooms and witnessed the man’s dead body underneath a pile of pillows and blankets. Hammond tried to prevent her from leaving the residence, but she escaped and immediately flagged a state trooper. When police arrived at the home, Hammond rushed them with a piece of metal shaped like a gun. Officers killed him. Inside the house, the female victim was found alive and transported to a nearby hospital, where she revealed that Carter and Hammond raped her during the ordeal.
Carter confessed to showing the victims a gun and telling them she’d know how to get rid of a dead body but claims she only did it to please Hammond.
The home is owned by Jason Harvey, who said that he allowed Carter to live with him until she got back on her feet after residing in a motel. He said that once Hammond began coming to the home to visit Carter, “things got bad.” Harvey’s children, two teenagers, were in the house when police arrived.
Carter remains in jail without bond.
