A report surfaced this week claiming Indiana Pacers star Paul George is expecting a baby with a Miami woman named Daniela. Baller Alert’s writer had been tracking this story since December and hinted at it on Twitter at the time, noting that Dwyane Wade and Ludacris were not the only athletes rumored to have a baby on the way.
According to the report from the site Jocks and Stiletto Jill, Daniela is about seven months pregnant and George is the father. The same report claimed George was told about the pregnancy and offered her money not to have the child, and that Daniela later shared on Instagram that she is having a girl. George is reportedly dating Callie Rivers, the daughter of Clippers coach Doc Rivers.
George has now responded. In a statement to TMZ Sports, he said: “If and when there is legal confirmation that I am the father, I will fully embrace my responsibilities. This is a personal matter that is still being sorted out, so I hope you can respect my privacy.” A spokesperson for George also told TMZ Sports there is no truth to the rumors that he offered money for Daniela not to have the child.
