A Texans fan got a lesson in mistaken identity this weekend. On Saturday night, a fan named Jenni tweeted that she had run into running back Arian Foster at Pub Fiction in Houston and posted a photo with the man she believed was him. According to The Blaze, Foster saw the tweet on Sunday and replied that he appreciated the love, but it was not him. He added a joke that we all look alike.
Jenni took the correction with a sense of humor. She tweeted that she was embarrassed but found the whole situation hilarious, and when people asked why she did not delete the photo, she said it was a funny mistake and she would let people have their fun with it.
Good for her for being a great sport. Plenty of us would have wanted the ground to open up. And in fairness, the guy in the picture does bear a resemblance to Foster.
It is also a reminder that in the age of social media, a quick photo is not always what it seems. Check before you post, ballers.
