Ja Rule is in trouble with the IRS again, owing over ten years of federal back taxes.
Official lien documents state that the Murder Inc rapper has an outstanding balance of $2,031,753 in total, due to Uncle Sam.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to Bossip, Ja Rule received his most recent lien of $443,442 just last month, for income he earned in 2016. Bossip added that the rapper’s wife Aisha is also named on the lien documents.
In 2011, he was sentenced to nearly three years in federal prison for failing to provide income tax returns between 2004 and 2006. At the time, a judge ordered the rapper to pay $1.1 million in unpaid taxes with interest.
Ja Rule has most recently made headlines for his failed Fyre Festival. As a number of lawsuits have been filed, his financial woes continue.
